Fashion Show & Special Guests Coming to Palace of Fine Arts Theatre May 9

The School of Fashion at the Academy of Art University will award Max Azria and Lubov Azria Honorary Doctorate degrees at this year’s Graduation Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony in San Francisco on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Academy of Art U. Students Awarded in Blizzard Entertainment Competition

Academy students in Game Design and Animation & Visual Effects captured top honors in Blizzard Entertainment’s 2013 Student Art Contest. Game Design MFA grad Daehi Kim won in the Environment category; also winning in Environment was BFA Game Design candidate Kyoungche Kim. Wanmin Gee, MFA candidate in Animation, was runner up in the Character category.

Academy of Art University Athletes Score Historic Firsts in PacWest, NCAA

One day, two championships: The women’s athletic programs at the Academy of Art University continue to rack up milestones. Just hours after the women’s track and field team captured an NCAA Division II national championship, the university’s women’s basketball squad won the inaugural PacWest Conference tournament and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
