2014 SF Student Addy Awards: Academy of Art U. Students are the Center of Attention

Entries from the Academy of Art University’s School of Advertising dominated the 2014 San Francisco Student Addy Competition, accounting for all but a handful of the winners. Backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Report From NYC

[Jeanette Peach] Academy of Art University Multimedia Communications student Lejla Brackovic made the trek from San Francisco to New York to cover the School of Fashion’s Fall 2014 Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Armed with a camera crew and plenty of questions, Brackovic interviewed talented student designers and got commentary from a VIP guest backstage.

Academy of Art U. Team Takes Silver at San Francisco Flower & Garden Show

[Yasmine Farazian] A silver medal was the reward for a student team from the Academy of Art University’s School of Landscape Architecture at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show, held March 19–23. The medal was awarded for their exhibit, “Urban Mixology,” reflecting the diversity of landscape design in the contemporary urban environment.

Academy Students Shine in Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Student Art Contest

In its third annual student art contest, Blizzard Entertainment invited college students everywhere to submit original artwork or animation that would be “a great fit” for its preternaturally popular game franchise, World of Warcraft. Academy of Art University students eagerly took up the challenge and were rewarded with seven of the top 12 rankings.
