Fine Art Photography Faculty + Alumni Auction Set for March 13; Preview Party March 11

The 79 Gallery in San Francisco will be buzzing in coming days with the 2nd Annual Fine Art Photography Faculty + Alumni Auction. A preview party Thursday, March 11, at 5 p.m. will provide an advance glimpse of the works. The live auction will take place Saturday March 13 at 2 p.m.

New Alumni Awards Unveiled

San Francisco to Honor Academy of Art U. for Community Clean Team Participation

More than 500 volunteers and community partners, including the Academy, will be recognized March 6th for the 10th anniversary of San Francisco’s Community Clean Team. In the past decade, thousands of volunteers — including Academy faculty and students — have worked to plant trees, eradicate graffiti and generally “clean and green” the city.

79 New Montgomery Store Aids Haiti Relief

FASHION FOR HAITI is the American fashion industry’s response to the Jan. 12 earthquake, and the Academy’s 79 Montgomery Retail Store in San Francisco is joining retailers and designers nationwide to offer the FASHION FOR HAITI T-shirt, benefiting the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The Academy is the only educational institution participating in the effort.
