The 79 Gallery in San Francisco will be buzzing in coming days with the 2nd Annual Fine Art Photography Faculty + Alumni Auction. A preview party Thursday, March 11, at 5 p.m. will provide an advance glimpse of the works. The live auction will take place Saturday March 13 at 2 p.m.

More than 500 volunteers and community partners, including the Academy, will be recognized March 6th for the 10th anniversary of San Francisco’s Community Clean Team. In the past decade, thousands of volunteers — including Academy faculty and students — have worked to plant trees, eradicate graffiti and generally “clean and green” the city.

Academy alumni in the Los Angeles area will gather March 13 for an evening of connecting and celebrating the art of filmmaking, in association with the 15th annual International Family Film Festival. Diane Baker, executive director of the School of Motion Pictures & Television, will select a special screening of alumni films for the occasion.
